6. Summary and Suggestions

The purposes of this practicum are to know about the different curriculum, culture in southeast ASEAN. I had a great opportunity to learn about different things and this is something that we can't find it on the internet but you have to experience on your own. The first week we have some orientation to know about Manila and the University of Santo Tomas. we went to the museum of Fort Santiago in Intramuros, we went to the national museum of the Philippines. we introduce to the big library in the University of Santo Tomas and supermarket also to the other place. The second week, we do observation in the class. every participant of Pre-Service teacher has one mentor. The third week, we do assistantship teaching. we have to create a lesson plan, worksheet. to supporting learning. The fourth week, we do independent teaching, I have two class in grade 7. St. Anne and St. Agnes. but sometimes my mentor brings me to grade 8 to try to teach them. I have got lots of knowle

1.1  Procedures of   teaching 1. Making lesson plan       Before implementing classroom learning, first I made a lesson plan given to my mentor to be evaluated whether it is correct that there is something to be improved. 2.  Carrying Out Learning      After creating a lesson plan then implementing learning in accordance with what has been planned. 3.  Carrying out Evaluation      Evaluation here aims to measure the extent to which students are able to master the material that has been conveyed. My evaluation is an analysis of the phenomena that occur around his life. 1.2  Time management and organizing activities In JHS of UST, every lesson has 1: 15 hours. in one class. I have to divide that for motivation 10 minutes, lesson development 40 minutes, synthesis 10 minutes, application or value 15 minutes. 1.3 Problem-Solving The teacher gives a problem to students, solving the problem is done by a discussion method. students will convey their own opinion. and in th

1.1 Curriculum Curriculum in Junior high school of UST is used K-12, in that curriculum also there is an English subject. that related to my major. my major is English education in Universitas Majalengka. also some material it's like grammar or poetry that I was learn in my college. 1.2 Teaching Plan It's one of my sub plan that related to my major. 3. Observation on Teacher in the Classroom

During my observation, I was able to observe only 1 teachers from the school and most of the time, The teachers plan, prepare and write his lesson plans before teaching. It makes teacher to achieve the objectives of the lesson and keep guided by the lesson plan. After observing classes for a week, my mentor asked me to prepare for my lesson to teach next week. He gave me the format of the lesson plan and curriculum so that I will know what topic to teach. The teachers mostly used textbooks for the activities, so I took picture of it so that I would now the context of their learning more. My mentor's teaching is really good and that I need to observe. He was teaching Grade 7 and 8. Common things teacher mostly did was teaching the lesson first then make students to apply what they have learned as a form of writing a dialogue and presenting it in front of the class.  The teacher has a good evaluation and measurement because he uses several methods and many meetings. 1.1 Teaching Methods Teaching methods in JHS of UST use approaching methods to students, my mentor is so close with their students. He is so amazing teacher and creative teacher. he didn't always say alone in the front. but he makes a discussion in class. so the students will show up, will speak and order their own opinion about the material. I also use that when I am teaching them. that so effective to make students understanding. 1.2  Learning materials and innovation Learning material and innovation that use is grammar, figurative language. I learn a lot from my mentor, he uses some current issue to lure students to the subject or material. make a role play about that issue. definitely, related to the material.  1.3    Sources of learning and technology My mentor uses learning resources in the form of government-issued books, e-books, and originates from the Internet, but uses more handbooks.
